PIEDMONT SCHOOLS ARE THRILLED TO PARTNER WITH LOCAL ARTIST WILL MOUAT IN SUPPORT OF OUR INCREDIBLE STUDENT ARTISTS
From September 17 until October 5, when you make a $150 or greater donation to the Piedmont Schools' Arts Materials Fund, you’ll receive an archival giclée print by Will Mouat — a beautiful piece of art and a meaningful way to support the next generation of Piedmont artists.
The Piedmont community's support of the Visual Arts has always been strong, and we are deeply grateful for it. Your contribution helps ensure our students have access to the materials they need to learn, grow, and create. For example, our current kiln has served PHS faithfully for 9 years, but it's finally reached the end, the cost to repair it now exceeds the cost to replace it. Our goal? To see at least 30 of Will’s beautiful posters proudly displayed throughout Piedmont — each one supporting the future of visual arts at our schools.
Thank you for support,
PHS Art Teachers Gillian Bailey & Sarah Houchin
Hello Piedmont friends:
I made this painting for my children, hoping that as they get older, they remember some of the more charming aspects of living in Piedmont. I'm proud to partner with Gillian, Sarah, and the entire Piedmont Schools' Visual Arts Department by donating the right to make prints for this fundraiser. I hope you enjoy this painting, and our town, as much as I do.
-Will

The Print
Each print is 24” by 36” on archival paper at East Bay Giclee, a small business in Berkeley that specializes in fine art prints.
Your Support
We ask you to donate at least $150. We expect the cost of printing and packaging to be about $50 (depending on volume), thus a donation of $150 results in ~$100 going to our schools.
Our Process
We will allow purchases through October 5. Then, we will place the order with East Bay Giclee. We expect printing to take about 4-6 weeks.
We will pick up the prints, then Piedmont students will pack each one into a packing tube.
We will contact you by email to come pick up your print from PHS, likely in early to mid-November. We may offer delivery to Piedmont addresses, but cannot promise it.
What Your Donation Means
For each print purchased at $150, we can buy one of these:
Sharpie pens for an Art 1 class for the year
Canvas and paint for an Art 2 class for their Large Car Painting
A classroom set of drawing pencils for all Art classes to use
Cake for the All School Art Show or AP Art Show Reception
We plan for the first $3000 in donations to buy a new PHS kiln, and any amount in addition to that will be shared by the arts departments at all grade levels.
